No need to wait until camp begins to begin learning. Below are a few lessons to get you and your computer ready for camp.
- Creating Text Files
- Computer code is saved as what we call “raw” text files but most of your standard programs save formatted text files. So before you can learn to code, you must first learn to create text files.
- Introduction to HTML
- Our first lesson is an introduction to HTML, the language of the Internet.
Your Task: Once you’ve understood the fundamentals, create an “All About Me” HTML page that we’ll share with the other participants on the first day of camp.
- Installing Programming Environments
- During Learn To Code Camp, we’ll use multiple programming languages. You must ensure that they are installed on your laptop before you come to camp.
-
- Install Python 3: Mac OS X (Apple)
